The short version

The character walks you through it. Scroll.

The beginning

Started drawing as a kid. Never stopped.

Like a lot of kids. The difference is the hours — years of them — spent chasing techniques and styles until the lines did what I wanted.

Fuel

Stories, film and games.

That's where the ideas come from. A world I can't stop thinking about turns into a character I have to draw.

The grind

College by day. Art by night.

Balancing coursework and a portfolio rarely felt like two things that fit together. It taught me how to ship work on a deadline anyway.

The degree

Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Knowledge, skills, and a portfolio of the best work — and the freedom to choose which direction to point them.

Now

Head of Creative and Design at MoonFactory X. Characters on the side.

Creative direction for clients by day. The original passion — new characters, new worlds — never went anywhere.
